In its on-going work to support all appropriate forms of connectivity and outreach in the construction sector the CCATF are collaborating with member organisations The School Outreach Company (www.school-outreach.com) and Balfour Beatty (www.balfourbeatty.com) in helping them create effective, meaningful and sustainable outreach programmes into the school environment.
A collaboration between The School Outreach Company and Balfour Beatty, along with other industry leaders, will result in an “open panel” event to discuss how a unified approach can increase diversity and raise awareness of career pathways into the built environment and construction sector.
The event taking place at Balfour Beatty’s office in Canary Wharf will also feature insight, data and contributions from industry leaders including Martyn Price MBE, chair of the CCATF.
Considering the event CCATF Chair, Martyn Price commented “as the construction sector strives to close the skills gap and workforce shortages, it is important that all opportunities to attract young people into the sector are explored. This open panel session being delivered by The School Outreach Company and supported by Balfour Beatty is a well-focused attempt at creating a meaningful dialogue within key sector stakeholder organisations and the CCATF are pleased to contribute to it”.
