Scott McLew

 

Scott McLew is the Policy Officer for the National Specialist Contractors’ Council (NSCC), the representative umbrella organisation for building specialist organisations within the UK construction industry.  NSCC has 30 member organisations representing Specialist Contractors across the spectrum of building trades. 

 

Scott has a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Victoria University in New Zealand.  He joined NSCC in 2008 after several years working in the third sector, predominantly within the international development and community development fields. Scott’s role within NSCC is primarily project based, looking at issues such as apprenticeships, pre-qualification, and waste within the construction industry.  He also facilitates NSCC’s quarterly snapshot of the specialist sector through the NSCC State of Trade Survey.

 

Scott represents NSCC on industry bodies including the Sustainable Construction Task Group. He also oversees two of NSCC’s key Committees: Health and Safety, and Training.
