Peter was appointed CITB -ConstructionSkills Deputy Chairman in April 2001.
He is the Immediate Past President of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) and a founder member, and Fellow of, the Institute of Roofing.
He is a past President of NSCC and a member of their management board. He has been a governor of various schools and was Chairman of the Yorkshire Roofing Training Group 1976-1999. He is a past Chairman of the Princes’ Trust, North Yorkshire.
He joined the family business of George Rogerson Ltd (formed in 1890), now Rogerson Group Ltd, in 1966, as Estimator/Contracts Manager, and became Chairman in 1970. The Rogerson Group of Companies, in addition to its roofing activities, is involved in sheet metal fabrication, plant and tool hire, with a group turnover in excess of £6 million p.a. Rogerson sold his controlling interest in the business in 2001.
