Assistant Director in the Construction Sector Unit - Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
Clive covers the Unit's policy interests on skills and other 'people' issues relating to the construction industry. His role involves policy development, advising Ministers, engaging with industry as a 'critical friend', and championing its legitimate concerns within BERR, and across Government.
A career civil servant working largely in DTI (as was), and now BERR, Clive has worked with businesses in a number of industry sectors, including ICT, coal, chemicals, and now construction. He has been involved with skills/training related issues in various capacities since the mid-1990s.
